Your new professional looking email account is set up, we need to get it configured on your devices so that emails get pushed through to you oppose to you having to log on to your webmail.
There are numerous different email clients for Macs, PCs, iOS and android devices, so there is no way we could tell you how to configure them all. So firstly we will give you the details you need to enter into the settings of your email client.
Use the following recommended settings to configure your desktop e-mail application. We recommend using IMAP over POP.
Please note that you will need to enable ‘SMTP Authentication’ in your mail client which can usually be enabled under the outgoing (SMTP) server settings. It should be set to ‘password’ mode and use the same details as your incoming mailserver.
Username: Your full e-mail address
Password: we will send this to you securely
IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (.com, .co.uk this is an example, copy exactly as you domain name is)
IMAP Port: 143
Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Port: 25
SMTP Authentication: On
(“Use same password as incoming server” in Outlook, or for Mac Mail, iPhone and iPad devices, please use “Password” mode)
